Sanoma and SBS scooped up no less than three of the seven Cross Media Awards in Amsterdam last month.  The Cross Media Awards are the annual awards for the Dutch media industry at which the digital transformation of traditional media and the use of a mix of media types is celebrated.  Home deco brand vtwonen was recognised as Cross Media Brand of 2015. The team behind vtwonen was praised for its drive to renew and differentiate vtwonen. The Jury stated that vtwonen was a clear frontrunner in 2014 and realised demonstrable success that can clearly be attributed to playing across media, in print, on TV, online, and in stores. As tastemaker and style guide in home deco, vtwonen has the ambition to always be one step ahead of others. Together with media agency Mindshare and financial institution ING, SBS Broadcasting won a Cross Media Award for their co-operation in 'What's your net worth?' ('Hoeveel ben je waard?'). Each episode of this TV-series focused on families in familiar situations and determined their net worth to demonstrate ING's financial expertise. The TV-show broadcast by SBS drove interaction across several media channels and towards a dedicated ING tool. 'What's your net worth?' was translated to a broad mix of paid, owned and earned media. Sanoma's Brand Director Home Deco, Ard Siekerman, was awarded 'Cross Media Man of 2015'. He is responsible for Sanoma's home deco cluster with successful brands like vtwonen. In the past year he led the implementation of Sanoma's new domain strategy in home deco, opening up new growth avenues for especially vtwonen.
