The Sanoma Trade Division of the Sanoma Group (Rautakirja) merges its Estonian operations into one company AS Rautakirja Estonia. The merger is recorded in the Estonian trade register and comes into effect on 30 April 2010, whereby AS R Kiosk Eesti, AS Forum Cinemas Home Entertainment, AS Apollo Raamatud and AS Lehepunkt cease to exist as separate companies.

Bringing the Rautakirja brands R-Kiosk, Lehepunkt, Apollo Raamatud, Videoplanet and Filmipood under the same roof is an investment into the future. The goal is to facilitate faster concept development, improve the customer offering and create possibilities to operate in a larger number of Estonian localities of different sizes.

Rautakirja Estonia has almost 240 stores in 30 different localities and the number of its customer encounters comes up to some 24 million annually.

Rautakirja Estonia is part of Sanoma Trade, a retail specialist operating in eight countries and serving its customers in 230 million sales contacts in kiosks, bookstores and movie theatres annually. Sanoma Trade's strengths lie in a thorough understanding of customers' needs and solid concepts. Its trade services business is a strong link between publishers, producers and retailers. Sanoma Trade is part of the Sanoma Group, a strong European media group operating in diverse fields of media in 20 countries.
