Lasse Laurio will join SanomaWSOY Corporate Centre as Vice President, Finance & Group Controller. He will start in his position on 22 September 2008. Laurio succeed's Sari Pohjonen. Laurio is responsible for the Group's Business Control activities, as well as for external and internal accounting. In addition he will participate in bigger M&A and other group initiatives.
M.Sc. (Econ.), APA, Lasse Laurio, 32, has been working in the Finnish company Lassila & Tikanoja as Director responsible for financial and strategic counseling. Prior to that Laurio was responsible for the company's Business Control function. Earlier he has been working in Ernst & Young with Merger & Acquisition services as well as Authorised Public Accountant (APA).
