Sanoma Uitgevers, part of the Sanoma Magazines division, has appointed Henk Scheenstra (40) as Chief Operating Officer Print effective February 1, 2007.

The new position of COO Print fits in Sanoma Uitgevers' strategy of focusing its business activities. In this new position, Mr Scheenstra will be responsible for all print activities of Sanoma Uitgevers.

Mr Scheenstra currently is Managing Director of Programmabladen AKN, the leading publisher of Radio & Television guides and a 25% subsidiary of Sanoma Uitgevers. In 2001–2004, he was Director of Marketing at Sanoma Uitgevers. In addition, he was manager at the business unit Secondary Education at Malmberg, also part of the SanomaWSOY Group.
