Sanoma Lehtimedia's free sheets Lappeenrantalainen and Seiska will be part of Sanoma Kaupunkilehdet, Sanoma's business unit for free sheets, as of 1 January 2006. This is an internal arrangement without any impact on the contents, structure, or dates of the sheets.
"The arrangement is done to streamline reporting in Sanoma's free sheets. It has no direct influence on the way the sheets operate but will ease coordinating of e.g. packaged advertising and possible theme pages within our free sheet operations", says Niko Ruokosuo, President of Sanoma Kaupunkilehdet.
After the arrangement, Sanoma Kaupunkilehdet will have eight sheets. The unit's other sheets include Kaupunkilehti Vartti, Uutislehti 100, Nöjesguiden, Koillis-Helsingin Lähisanomat, Kellokas, and Itäväylä.
Sanoma Kaupunkilehdet Oy is part of the Sanoma Division of the SanomaWSOY Group.
