TV Channel Nelonen's share of Finnish commercial viewing has increased significantly during 2004. At the end of September, Nelonen's share of commercial viewing in the age group 10-44 years was already 30.8% (1-9/2003: 27.3%). The strong development peaked in September, when the channel achieved its all time viewing record: Nelonen's share of commercial viewing in the age group 10-44 years amounted to 33.8%, an increase of 22% compared to September 2003.
- The strong growth of Nelonen's viewing shares is based on our interesting and diverse program offering. We have foreign quality series and we have succeeded is importing TV formats that have been successes also in Finland, says Juha-Pekka Louhelainen, President of Nelonen.
As a result of widening the digital TV network, 94% of the Finnish population can now watch Nelonen.
- Nelonen will be forerunners also in the future. We are planning to continue to bring the latest films, series, and TV formats to Finland. Our goal is to also widen our domestic program offering, Juha-Pekka Louhelainen says.
