Janne Kaijärvi, 39, has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of Uutislehti 100 as
of 9 August 2004. He will assume his duties coming from a free-ad publication Länsiväylä where he has been working as Editor-in-Chief since 1998. Previously Kaijärvi has worked e.g. as a journalist of business publication Talouselämä.
Current Editor-in-Chief, Ismo Uusitupa, will continue working for Uutislehti 100.
Sanoma Corporation purchased the publishing rights of Uutislehti 100 in the beginning of June. Uutislehti 100 is a news publication distributed to readers free of charge, mainly on routes of public transport. It has 243,000 readers and its net sales in 2003 totalled EUR 2.3 million.
At the end of June, Vesa Railamaa was appointed as Sales Director of Uutislehti 100. He will transfer to his duties from the post of Manager of Helsingin Sanomat's media sales team.
