Sanoma Magazines Zagreb will launch the first issue of the Croatian edition of National Geographic Magazine on 6 November 2003. The Croatian edition will be the 25th local-language edition of this famous monthly magazine. It will closely follow the editorial content and the format of the English-language original, supporting the protection of environment and also promoting Croatian natural beauties, history, culture and tourism.
Through the support of the Croatian Government and Croatian universities National Geographic Croatia will be introduced in all elementary and secondary schools, universities and other educational institutions.
National geographic is the sixth title of Sanoma Magazines Zagreb, a fast-growing magazine publisher in Croatia that already publishes the magazine Klik and the Croatian editions of Elle, Elle Dekor, Story and TV-Story. Sanoma Magazines Zagreb is part of Sanoma Magazines B.V, the magazine division of SanomaWSOY.
