Genimap has launched in Cannes a new product for tourists, which help them survive in cities throughout the world. Economist’s journalists and correspondents provide content for The Economist.com Cities Guide WAP service: information on local restaurants, sightseeing, shopping, hotels, weather and nightlife for major destinations. These are sent via MMS messages to the phone of the end-user. The user can also search for addresses in more than 30 countries.
Genimap has also launched TransGT, a planning and follow-up system of international transports and cargo traffic. The system makes planning of transports and deliveries easier and produces data on transport costs.
The new Genimap Navigator 1.1 software offers map handling and navigation features such as zooming and panning, GPS support, saving and editing own favourite places and database importing, exporting and editing functions for Nokia 9200 Communicator Series. Genimap has also launched Genimap Navigator LT for Pocket PC like HP iPAQ
