Channel Four Finland and MTV - Music Television will begin collaboration in programmes and advertising sales in Finland January 1st 2003. Along with programme collaboration Channel Four Finland and MTV - Music Television will form a strategic partnership. Channel Four Finland will also include in its schedule an MTV-window, presenting for instance UpNorth -music chart show. In the future the collaboration will also include joined tv-productions.

Combined the two channels reach the commercially most interesting target group

Starting in January, the sales organization of Channel Four Finland will sell advertising time not only for Channel Four Finland, but also for MTV in Finland. In August 2001 MTV was voted the most valuable media brand in the world. In the Nordic as well as the Baltic countries MTV reaches almost 50 per cent (4,9 million) of the age group 15 - 34. The most popular shows were Jackass (average ratings 900 000), The Osbournes (700 000) and Tom Green Show (600 000), all of which are also aired by Channel Four Finland. In Finland MTV’s weekly coverage of the age group 15 – 24 is 30 %.
