In October the 100th million book was printed at WS Bookwell’s printing plant in Juva with a Bookomatic book-printing machine. The jubilee book was Dostojevski’s Idioten, a publication of Swedish publishing house Wahlström & Widstrand Ab.
The printing plant in Juva, specializing in with black and white production, began its operation in 1976 with Cameron printing machines. The Bookomatic printing machine was installed to the printing plant in 1992, and now after 10 years it has reached a milestone of printed books. WS Bookwell’s annual production in Juva is about 13 million books and Bookwell’s total production in 2001 was 23 million books.
