Sanoma Lifestyle will divest its Geo magazine in order to focus on its community-based lifestyle media. Geo, an international reportage magazine published under a licence from G+J International Magazines will be transferred from Sanoma to Fokus Media Finland on 1 September 2015. As a result of this transaction, two employees will move from Sanoma to Fokus Media Finland. Fokus Media was founded last year and publishes five magazines: Auto Bild Suomi, GTi-Magazine, V8-MagazineGlorian Antiikki and Pelit.In line with its strategy, Sanoma Lifestyle brings together Finnish women, families and those aged 55 and over to discuss beauty, fashion, parenting, well-being, food and current affairs. This Sanoma  business unit is a strong market leader among all of its three core target groups, and reaches around two million Finns in total via various channels (National Media Survey: Consumers 2014).“We want to lead the way in multichannel lifestyle media and are focused on building communities, services, events and commercial solutions around our leading brands. Geo had no natural place in our portfolio.
