Sanoma merges its Finnish consumer media operations in the turn of the year into Finland’s largest media company with the widest reach and most extensive multichannel offering. Appointments have been made at the management of Sanoma Media Finland as of the beginning of year 2014.

Kaisa Ala-Laurila has been appointed President of Magazine Media. Previously she has served as Content Director of Radio Nova and as Marketing Director of Ilta-Sanomat, among others. Finland’s leading magazine publisher Magazine Media focuses on multichannel media brands for women and families.

The new Kids Media business unit is the largest publisher of media products for children and juvenile in Finland. Ulla Leppä has been appointed President of Kids Media.

To coincide, Sanna Myller who is now responsible for corporate customers and sales of Magazine Media will transfer to strengthen the commercial organization of Helsingin Sanomat in January.

As of 1 January 2014 Sanoma Media Finland Oy comprises four business units: Magazine Media, Kids Media, Helsingin Sanomat, Ilta-Sanomat and Nelonen Media.
