Sanomapaino has received Det Norske Veritas certification of its quality management system (ISO 9001), environmental management system (ISO 14001), and occupational health & safety management system (OHSAS 18001). The certification comprises all five printing houses (Sanomala, Hämeen Paino, Savon Paino, Lehtikanta, and Saimaan Lehtipaino) as well as Sanomapaino's sales, administration, and materials service.
"The certification proves that Sanomapaino measures up to the standards and is committed to continuously improving its operations. Regular audits are an excellent tool for improving and monitoring our environmental, quality, and occupational health & safety management activities. By focusing on reliable operations and prime quality, we strive to achieve optimal customer satisfaction," emphasises Ismo Vuoksio, President of Sanomapaino.
The environmental impact is reduced by optimising the use of raw materials and energy as well as cutting down emissions and the amount of waste. The Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems play an important part in minimising the health and safety risks and promoting wellbeing at work.
"The employees are crucial as regards quality, occupational health & safety, and environmental issues. A uniform Sanomapaino means seamless service operations and five printing houses adhering to the same rules," says Vuoksio.
