The Finnish Government has granted Sanoma Entertainment's Sanoma Television a national operating license for a new pay-tv channel called Nelonen Maailma (Nelonen World).
The new channel offers documents and tv shows about cultures, destinations and phenomena around the world. Nelonen Maailma is a family channel that gives the audience interesting topics to discuss and ways to broaden one's view of the world.
Sanoma Entertainment is able to start broadcasting the new channel within six months from receiving the operating licence. The licence is valid until the end of 2016.
Sanoma Television is part of Sanoma Entertainment, the electronic media division of the Sanoma Group.
