The largest and oldest online auction site in Finland continues to grow. The latest new record was set last week when for the first time the site hit the one million item mark."This has been a spectacular year. Our users have really found the site and, quite clearly, they are satisfied. At the beginning of the year, 800,000 items was our normal volume, now we are regularly hitting 1,000,000 items or more," says a contented Jarkko Kyttänen, Business Director, Marketplaces, Sanoma Digital Finland. The site attracts more than 1,600,000 visits a week (TNS Metrix 35/2010). In a year, that equals more than 65 million visits which, effectively, makes Huuto.net the largest shopping centre in Finland. The range of products is also unequalled. At this very moment, the offering on the site includes more than 190,000 items of clothing, 140,000 collectibles, 50,000 household items and 25,000 vehicles or spare parts."We want to make trading on the site even easier than before," says Kyttänen. Starting this week, Huuto.net is also on Facebook."You can now look for the items you want via Facebook or follow up on items offered by your favourite seller. Users can also 'like' items on sale on Huuto.net, and in this way easily enhance the visibility of the items in social media," Kyttänen explains.Visit Huuto.net's Facebook site at http://apps.facebook.com/huutoapp/For additional information, please contact:Jarkko Kyttänen, Business Director, Marketplaces, Sanoma Digital Finland, tel. 040-703 5190, jarkko.kyttanen(@)sanoma.fiHuuto.net is a part of Sanoma News' Sanoma Digital Finland Business Unit.
