Huuto.net, the leading online auction in Finland, has introduced new services for companies.

Users with a company status can now establish their own online shop inside the Huuto.net system. The initial stage comprises a total of 14 companies. The service was opened for all users with a company status on 18 February 2008.

"The visitor volumes of Huuto.net correspond to the combined visitor volumes of the six largest regular shopping centres in Finland. This will make Huuto.net the most efficient sales channel in Finland for sales kick-off, support and boosting," says Lari Lohikoski, Development Manager of Huuto.net.

The spring will see the introduction of more services that make companies' business easier, including product management, invoicing and reporting tools, and the so-called Huutopaketti function for companies.

In the future, Huuto.net will charge companies a commission for closed deals.

Huuto.net gathers nearly 0.5 million users each week. The website is accessed 1.7 million times a week, and the service has a total of 1.1 million registered users. In week 6, the number of products available through the service exceeded the 600,000 item limit, which is a new record.

Huuto.net is part of the Sanoma division of the SanomaWSOY Group.
