Sanoma Hearst Romania launches newsreport.ro news site, the Romanian version of nu.nl.
Newsreport.ro is a news aggregator website and publishes news from more than 20 sources. It is the first Romanian news aggregator website which has "user generated content" where readers can recommend certain news to other readers. The platform has been developed in-house and will have three dedicated persons who will keep the website up-to-date 24 hours a day. Subscribers of Newsreport.ro receive alerts with the hottest news of the hour.
The Digital Media Department of Sanoma Hearst Romania was established in 2006. Since then SHR has launched a parenting portal (www.mami.ro) and a women's portal (www.femeia.ro). These two portals draw an increasing number of 70,000 visitors per week.
In 2006 Mami.ro received three awards during the Internetics festival in Romania.
Nu.nl is the leading news site in the Netherlands, developed by ilse media, the online operator of Sanoma Uitgevers.
