SWelcom, the electronic media division of the SanomaWSOY Group, will sell Werne's business to acting management.
Werne is specialised in technical TV and audio-visual production services and solutions. Werne employs 27 people and its net sales in 2005 were EUR 4.5 million.
- According to its strategy, SWelcom will focus on the offering of electronic multimedia services. With our TV channel Nelonen, Welho's cable-TV and broadband operations, radio channels starting their operations as of January 2007, and expanding online services, we are now in an excellent position to execute this strategy, says Tapio Kallioja, President of SWelcom.
The deal will be effective as of September 1, 2006. Werne's personnel will continue under their current conditions.
