Ilta-Sanomat's market share has grown rapidly this year, and today its share of all non-subscription sales of afternoon papers is 62.7% (61.1% in 2003). Also the non-subscription sales of Ilta-Sanomat and IS Veikkaaja, sports and sport betting weekly, are on the increase compared with the previous year. The weekend supplement Ilta-Sanomat Plussa, launched at the end of February, has been particularly successful in the market share competition and has contributed to the growth in Ilta-Sanomat's week-end sales by nearly 10,000 copies.

Ilta-Sanomat strengthens its position as the leading publisher of non-subscription papers. The latest product for the non-subscription market, Ilta-Sanomat TV Magazine, will start appearing as from tomorrow, May 12. The format of the paper has been changed and will now be published as a magazine.

The content of the new magazine, printed on quality paper, is clearly more versatile and colourful than Ilta-Sanomat's previous TV magazine and serves readers for example by offering a more extensive information package of TV programs. The new Ilta-Sanomat TV Magazine will continue to appear each Wednesday. In the first weeks it will be sold at an extra charge of EUR 0.20 together with Ilta-Sanomat.

Ilta-Sanomat, Ilta-Sanomat TV magazine, weekly magazine Plussa, sports and sports betting weekly IS Veikkaaja and its other brand extensions are published by Sanoma, a newspaper publishing division of SanomaWSOY.
