Magazine and comics publisher Egmont Kustannus Oy Ab and Oy Kirjalito Abthat specializes in juvenile books, games and other media products for children were merged on 1 April 2003.

The new company is called Egmont Kustannus Oy Ab and both magazine publisher Sanoma Magazines Finland and the Danish media group Egmont have a 50 per cent stake in the new company. The net sales of the company amount to EUR 16,6 million and it employes 52 persons. The aim of the merger is to gain synergies and simplify the administrative structure.
