The Finnish Trade Register has registered the merger of SanomaWSOY's wholly owned subsidiaries, Kirjatuki Oy and Sanomain Huoneisto ja Kiinteistöholding Oy, with the Group's Parent Company, SanomaWSOY Corporation, which took place, as planned, on September 30, 2001.
The subsidiaries, together with their assets and debts, have been merged with the Parent Company without any transfer of money. The mergers have been carried out to streamline SanomaWSOY's administration and enhance cost-effectiveness.
SanomaWSOY announced its plans to merge Kirjatuki Oy, Sanomain Huoneisto ja Kiinteistöholding Oy, and Tiikerijakelu Oy on April 23, 2001. The merger of Tiikerijakelu Oy will not be implemented at this stage.
