Eero Hyvönen (41) has been appointed Senior Editor-in-Chief, News & Current Affairs Programmes at Channel Four Finland (Nelonen) and a member of Channel Four's Management Group as of October 16, 2000. Hyvönen previously served as Channel Four's Editor-in-Chief, News & Current Affairs Programmes, a position he held since 1997.
Prior to joining Channel Four, Eero Hyvönen served as the Editor-in-Chief of Radio City, Managing Editor of City-lehti, and the Editor-in-Chief of Yliopplilaslehti. Hyvönen began his journalistic career at the daily, Uusi Suomi.
A recruitment process focused on professionals in the media field has been started to find a successor to fill the position of Channel Director at Channel Four, which became vacant today. Channel Four's President, Juha-Pekka Louhelainen, will act as Channel Director until further notice.
