TJ Group Oyj has announced that it has acquired the new media company Tietovalta Oy.
Sanoma-WSOY Oyj which was a shareholder in Tietovalta Oy with a stake of 20.3 per cent (Sanoma-WSOY Oyj's press release, 12 November 1999) has exchanged its holding for shares in the publicly listed TJ Group Oyj. Sanoma Corporation, merged into Sanoma-WSOY Oyj, was a shareholder of Tietovalta since January 1999, and its holding was transferred to Sanoma-WSOY Oyj as from 1 May 1999.
After the acquisition, Sanoma-WSOY Oyj holds 2.8 per cent of TJ Group Oyj (419,808 shares and votes).
