We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst/Scientist focusing on Entertainment (Ruutu, Supla) area customer data analytics in Sanoma Media Finland's B2C unit. Key concepts to master in this position include engagement/churn, customer/subscription/content value (net present value/CLV), omnichannel marketing, predictive modeling, marketing automation and expected profit. Our unit is heavily data and analytics driven, directly affecting the profitability and revenue of Sanoma.

Depending on your previous experience and current interests, you will have a chance to innovate and build our engagement analytics workflows and processes for Entertainment, strengthen the collaboration between the consumer sales and products such as Ruutu and Supla, develop customer value concept, conduct exploratory analyses of online and offline data, and create analytical insights based on data to understand the customer and the value of content. You can utilize all your analytical skills ranging from data mining, statistical analysis, econometrics and machine learning on various types of data (transactions, online events, demographical data etc.). We also allow a wide range of tools and environments to manipulate them (SQL, Python/R, DataBricks, in AWS). This position also requires a genuine business understanding and capability to team work.

Responsibilities:
•    Analyze customer data in Entertainment area to improve customer and content insight
•    Drive profitability and engagement of customers with analytics
•    Support targeting of the customer treatment actions
•    Collaborate closely with B2C and Entertainment units 
•    Develop further customer value and content value estimates
•    Design and implement experiments to validate analyzes

Requirements for the job:
•    Good practical data manipulation and statistical analysis skills, and reasonable theoretical background
•    Business acumen and genuine interest to entertainment and media business
•    Can-do attitude, good communication skills, team player, self-guided
•    Master’s thesis or higher in data science, computer science, econometrics or in other applicable field
