RTR Accounting Specialist and Key User (Media)
The Accounting Services team is an integral part of Sanoma Group Finance Control and provides accounting services to Sanoma’s Learning and Media operations. As a function we aim to provide scalable and high-quality accounting services, driving value from an end-to-end perspective. We want to be the go-to party for all local accounting related questions.
Our Finance function is going through a significant transformation program where we are implementing new finance systems and are reshaping our finance organization.
As a result we are now building an entirely new accounting team with where continuous improvement is in our DNA. You are quickly able to adapt to new processes and tools, can resolve any problem quickly and understand how to optimise our systems and ways of working. In this role you will be responsible for monthly accounting activities of Sanoma Media Finland subsidiaries. Activities include preparing manual journals, fixed asset accounting, intercompany accounting, performing month-end close activities, reconciliation of accounts, reporting of the financial results to group and performing periodical internal controls. You also support the tax area by preparing tax calculations and monthly VAT and other tax filings. On an annual basis you support preparation of local financial statements and coordinate with auditors.
You also act as local Key User for our D365 and PowerBI tools within the RTR domain, acting as single point of contact for end-user questions, handling end-user training and documentation, performing system testing and support continuous development of the systems.
This role is key to driving continuous improvement of our RTR processes and you provide strong proactive support and expertise to business and other finance stakeholders on a daily basis, participating in RTR related development initiatives or projects where required.
To succeed in this role, we are looking for the following qualifications:
- Master degree or similar, preferably a major in Accounting or Finance
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience within Accounting, preferably within a B2C business environment
- Solid End-to-end RTR process understanding
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in English and Finnish
- Customer driven continuous improvement mindset
- Digi savvy, experience with D365 considered as a clear advantage
