We are looking for a Lead Analyst / Analytics scrum master focusing on customer analytics in Sanoma Media Finland's B2C unit. Key concepts in this position include statistical modeling, machine learning, data science, AWS/GCP, omnichannel marketing, agile methods, subscription business, marketing automation, and customer lifetime value. Our unit is heavily data and analytics driven, directly affecting the profitability and revenue of Sanoma.

Our team is open to various paradigms and aims to adopt to various transformation stages in an agile way. Depending on your previous experience and current interests, you will have a critical role in coordinating and supporting analytics development and its efficiency, lead and coordinate the analytics development projects, do hands on analysis of online and offline data, and create analytical insights based on data to understand the customer. Understanding modern data engineering is a clear plus. You can utilize all your analytical skills ranging from data mining, statistical analysis, econometrics or machine learning on various types of data (transactions, online events, demographical data etc.). We also utilize a wide range of tools and environments to manipulate them (R, Python, DataBricks, SAS, AWS etc.). This position also requires a genuine business understanding and capability to work in and with several teams and influencing stakeholders in a positive and constructive manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Transform and support the consumer sales with data and analytics
  • Coordinate dailies, weeklies, the development and the projects of the analytics team
  • Support the analytics team by removing obstacles
  • Collaborate closely with sales and data development
  • Hands-on analytics to improve customer insight and drive profitability

Requirements for the job

  • Good practical data and statistical analysis skills, and theoretical background
  • Business acumen
  • Can-do attitude, good communication skills, team player, project management abilities
  • Master’s thesis or higher in data science, computer science, or in other applicable field

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in an environment consisting of data from millions of consumers, collected from several million interactions with Sanoma Media Finland‘s wide selection of products. In this position you will able to drive the change in SMF B2C and its analytics, and have a vantage point to media and its transformation.
