Finance Process Expert, RTR 

The department

The Accounting Services team is an integral part of Sanoma Group Finance Control and provides accounting services to Sanoma’s Learning and Media operations. As a function we aim to provide scalable and high-quality accounting services, driving value from an end-to-end perspective. We want to be the go-to party for all local accounting related questions.

Our Finance function is going through a significant transformation program where we are implementing new finance systems and are reshaping our finance organization.

As a result we are now building an entirely new accounting team with where continuous improvement is in our DNA. Sanoma’s culture is dynamic, and we are looking for driven, positive individuals who are not afraid to take ownership and make decisions independently.

The job

As Finance Process Expert in the Record-to-Record (RTR) domain you will lead the standardization of our accounting and reporting processes. Besides having a strong background in shared accounting services, we are looking for a change champion capable of driving improvements initiatives and convince stakeholders to support them. As part of the Process Excellence team, you will have a key role to accelerate the implementation of a continuous improvement culture in our new Accounting Service team while at the same time ensuring that our SLA and KPI are reached following our targets. Responsibilities include:

· Develop and monitor RTR process performance
· Review and identify process development opportunities to proactively resolve inefficiencies
· Lead the continuous improvement and automation initiatives
· Implement and development of RTR procedures, Accounting standards, and Group policies
· Create and maintain process documentation and work instructions
· End-user training and support towards the regional RTR teams
· Participate in projects driven by Group Finance or business
· Collaborate with key stakeholders for cross-functional and group projects
· Be the key user for RTR related finance systems (Aico, SAP)
· Drive accountability through process controls and by leveraging technology

Qualifications required

To succeed in this role, we are looking for the following qualifications:

· Master degree or equivalent, preferably a major in Accounting or Finance.
· A minimum of 4 years’ experience within Accounting, preferably within a Shared Service or complex international business environment
· Solid End-to-end RTR process understanding (Local GAAP & IFRS reporting and Taxes)
· Strong communication skills in English (Finnish, Dutch, Polish or Spanish are advantageous)
· Proactive and structured working habits
· Lean mindset
· Comfortable with ambiguity and pressure
· Experience in SAP and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365
· Experience in AICO considered an advantage
· Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel (Visio, Lean and PowerBI are considered an advantage)
